Rabiya Occeña Mateo is an Indian-Filipino model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe Philippines in 2020. She is set to represent the Philippines at the Miss Universe 2020 pageant, which will be held on May 16, 2021 in Florida. Rabiya was born on November 14, 1996 to an Indian-American father and a Filipino mother who later separated.

Kathryn Bernardo proved that she is a Filipino, not just because she has Filipino parents, but because she has really has the heart for her kababayans She sent a personal message to Rabiya Mateo, giving the country's candidate to the prestigious Miss Universe pageant her full support. The video was uploaded by MJ Lastimosa, saying that her surprise for Rabiya is clearly unbeatable. Kath said that the whole country and every Filipino will be cheering for her on the special day.

Former Ms. Universe-Philippines 2014 MJ Lastimosa shared a hilarious post about a student who used Rabiya Mateo and her quest to be the next Ms. Universe as an excuse not to do school modules. MJ seem to cannot contain her laughter at the fact that the excuse letter might really be genuine. In her post, the former beauty queen advised those who are still studying to finish their modules first before watching Ms. Universe. The pageant will be held on May 16, 2021, in Florida, USA, which would be May 17, 2021 in the Philippines.
