Cavite Vice Governor Jolo Revilla may have just made a blatant mistake online in ascribing to a Spaniard, the explorer Ferdinand Magellan, a recognition meant only for Filipino heroes.

In his latest post though, he said that it was not him, but the caption was made by an intern.

"I apologize for the earlier confusing post on our celebration of Lapu-lapu’s victory in Mactan 500 years ago. An intern in our social media team posted the caption to our meme without first clearing it. Again, my sincerest apologies to our Cebuano countrymen and to all Filipinos."
