Pokwang cannot help but express a combination of disbelief, shock, and dismay over an incident in Quezon City where a college student was arrested even if he was just in front of his house.
The said incident involved the barangay tanods of Brgy. Apolonio Samson in Quezon City and criminology student LJ Cabangis.
The student explained the Grab rider lost his way so he had to go out of their gate so the rider would immediately see him.
At that point, barangay tanods who happen to be nearby immediately arrested him for violating curfew rules.
Despite the explanations of the student and the presence of the food that the Grab rider gave him, the tanods still arrested him.
The student managed to record the exchange of arguments between him and one tanod while riding the patrol car on the way to the barangay hall. The video has since then become viral.
Pokwang questioned the circumstances that led to the arrest of the young student.
“Haaaa????? Kinuha lang yung deliver na food sa tapat ng bahay hinuli na ng tanod??? Haaa???? ano yon?? jusko po mayor kung saan man nasasakupan yan mga tanod nayan sabihan nyo ang Brgy chairman at paki orient nga mga tao nyo woohoo lalong na i stress mga tao sa inyo!!” Pokwang said.
The actress has recently been critical of the actions taken by authorities, whether on the barangay or national level.
As a result, she also experienced a great degree of bashing from supporters of the present administration.

The idea of a 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. curfew within the NCR Plus bubble had been questioned by various sectors. In the past, even famous personalities like actor and celebrity check Marvin Agustin has questioned the idea of having a curfew. About a month ago, the actor took to Twitter to express his bafflement regarding the new curfew being strictly implemented in NCR. He explained that he was confused about the curfew and questioned why a curfew was being enforced at night when masses of people are still going out during the day. The entrepreneur continued on to also jokingly ask in his tweet if the COVID-19 virus was on nightshift hence the curfew. While some netizens agreed with the actor's sentiments, some netizens explained the reason behind the implementation of a curfew.
Recently, several Pinoy celebrities took to social media to express their sentiments against the re-implementation of ECQ in some areas in Luzon. Some of the celebrities made their feelings known with just a one-word-post, while others reminded everyone that the 2022 elections is just around the corner. Others revealed their readiness in helping those who would be severely affected by the ECQ. One celebrity lamented that what is happening is like déjà vu.
