Anne Curtis reacts to new COVID cases: "So what is the plan?"

Filipino-Australian actress and host Anne Curtis Heussaff took to Twitter her opinion about the record-high new cases of COVID-19 in the Philippines.

This is after The Department of Health registered 15,310 positive cases on Friday, April 2.

The Kapamilya star said that it was "quite alarming, especially knowing that not everyone can or has gotten tested".

Anne also asked, what's the plan or next step on responding to this crisis.

And she hopes to "be given more light on what is to happen while waiting for vaccines to arrive".

"This is quite alarming. Especially knowing that not everyone can/has gotten tested.
"So what is the plan? What are the next steps? I would like to think that everyone understands we have to take the necessary precautions to stay safe.. but...it would be nice to be given more light on what is to happen while waiting for vaccines to arrive.. so with what hope we have left we can work together as a nation..." she said in a tweet on Saturday.

Meanwhile, according to DOH, the figure includes the 3,790 case backlogs caused by technical issues.

"On March 31 2021, the DOH reported only 6,128 new cases due to COVIDKaya system issue. After system checks, validation and deduplication were made, 3709 additional cases were confirmed. These cases were added to today's cases, thus totaling to 15,310," DOH said in a Facebook post.

Today, the department recorded 12,576 new positive cases, 599 recoveries, and 103 death. The total number of active cases in the country is 165,715.
