Claire Dela Fuente’s son, Gigo de Guzman, talked to Karen Davila on her ANC program, “Headstart,” about his mom’s death.
The iconic singer passed away due to a heart attack while she was in the hospital for COVID-19.
Gigo became emotional while revealing to Karen that he tried to argue with his mom after she got transferred from the Las Piñas Doctor’s Hospital to the Pope John Paul II Hospital.
The argument happened after Claire told Gigo to order food for her but failed to tell him that she had already been transferred to another hospital.
Gigo, who felt frustrated, asked his mom why she did not tell him about the hospital transfer. Claire replied by apologizing to her son and explaining to him that she just forgot to tell him about it.

“I found out in Las Piñas Doctor’s Hospital that she was in their waiting ward, which I think is their makeshift tent for patients who do cannot enter because they couldn’t fit.
“But the day before her last day, she was transferred to the Pope John Paul II Hospital because they were able to find her a room…
“I didn’t even know that she was transferred. She failed to tell me. I found out because she asked me to order her food and I had it sent but it was the wrong hospital.
“That was our last argument. I asked, ‘Mommy, why didn’t you tell me you were transferred?’ She answered, ‘Sorry, anak. Nakalimutan ko,” Gigo told ANC.
