Maine Mendoza to work with Arjo Atayde in ‘Daddy’s Gurl’ for her birthday

Maine Mendoza and Arjo Atayde will be working together in the GMA Network sitcom “Daddy’s Gurl” right in time for the actress’s birthday.

According to “24 Oras”, the Kapamilya actor will be a special guest on “Daddy’s Gurl” in the sitcom’s March 6 episode.
His appearance on the Kapuso sitcom will serve as his birthday gift for his real-life sweetheart.
"I'm very happy na I've got to work with her, and then it's on her birthday so it's special to me... building memories with her, this is all just memories together na that we're building and I'm very happy," Arjo said.

The award-winning actor recalled that he and his girlfriend first worked in "Jack Em Popoy", the film which was starred by Maine alongside Vic Sotto and Coco Martin.
"First time po naming magkatrabaho was sa 'Jack Em Popoy.' First time po naming magkatrabaho na kami na po talaga," he said.
Maine added that it was also through that project that they were able to meet.
"First time rin naming mag-meet doon sa movie sa 'Jack Em Popoy' two years ago,"
The actress also shared how Arjo feels about working with her in the sitcom.
"Nakakatawa kasi nag-uusap kami and sinasabi niya sa akin na medyo kinakabahan siya. Pero sabi ko 'Ano ka ba, kaya mo 'yan.' Na-deliver naman, best actor!" she said.

Asked what else his special birthday gift for Maine is, Arjo chose to keep it a secret.
"Sa amin na lang po 'yun. Surprise,"
Maine revealed that Arjo never fails to surprise her:
"Lagi kasing may paandar 'yan, as in lagi. Hindi puwedeng sabihin dito kasi malalaman ko na kung ano 'yung paandar niya,"
