OFW in Saudi Arabia gets fired after doing a TikTok video
- An OFW in Saudi Arabia was fired from her job after she was caught doing TikTok
- She did a video while wearing her company's uniform, and it was because of this that she was fired
- She added that her video was not even sensual, something she did when the store where she was working opened
- She was called to the office, was asked to delete the video, and was then eventually fired from her job

JM, an alias given to the OFW who was fired from her job because she did a TikTok video while wearing the company uniform.
She said that somebody informed the company about what she did, which cost her job.

As per GMA News, she solicited the help of the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) in Jeddah for her situation.
"Monday po mga before 10:00 or 9:00 am ay nakaabot po agad sa office [ang Tiktok video]. Tinawagan po yung manager ko na burahin ko yung Tiktok ko na sayaw pagkatapos po pumunta po yung investigator sa store tapos hindi na ako nakapasok. Itong Thursday ay nalaman ko na terminated na ako," said JM.
James Mendiola, the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Welfare Officer reminded OFWs to be very careful with stuff that they post on social media.
"Most of our employers if not all are very sensitive to impression or public images and that includes us," said Mendiola as per Remate.
Some netizens commented that the laws in Saudi Arabia are really strict. They also noted that what happened to JM should serve as a lesson to other OFWs so that they would be more careful in order for them to retain their jobs.

Some OFWs are lucky to have really kind employers. One OFW experienced being brought by her employer to foreign destinations and her employer would even shop for her. She is very lucky that she was able to provide for her family while working for a kind employer.
Another OFW also had a great employer, wherein, her employer took care of her and her family during the pandemic. The employer even extended help by allowing the sibling of the OFW to work for them, thereby providing them with good pay to see their families through during tough times. It can be recalled how so many OFWs had to come home because of the restrictions imposed by the foreign governments.
