However, it is not surprising that Charlie was able to do awesome in the said performance. She has been trained for K-Pop performances in South Korea prior to her career in the Philippine show business.

It was revealed that she auditioned for a K-Pop group when she was still in college—and she passed as a trainee.

During her training in South Korea, she became close friends with Momoland’s Nancy McDonie.

In her interview with “Magandang Umaga” in 2018, she shared that she had problems with her papers, that was why she could not pursue her career in South Korea. She was supposed to be the first Filipino to be part of a K-Pop group.
