Sandara Park reunites with her 2NE1 sisters for Minzy’s birthday

Sandara Park and the rest of the 2NE1 members got together to celebrate Minzy’s birthday and their 12th year as a group.

On January 22, Friday, Sandara, or more popularly known by her international name Dara, took to Twitter some photos of the recent 2NE1 reunion. The said photos were also posted by the other members, CL, Minzy, and Bom on their social media accounts.
According to Sandara’s tweet, which was translated by Soompi, the disbanded K-Pop group reunited to celebrate Minzy’s birthday.
“The members all got together to celebrate maknae Minzy’s birthday!” Sandara wrote.
‘Maknae’ means the youngest member in English.

The former Kapamilya star revealed that the venue of their celebration was at CL’s studio. Also, she said that they were celebrating 2NE1’s 12th birthday.
“Since it’s [our] 12th birthday as 2NE1, there are 12 candles.”
Sandara expressed her happiness for their meet up. According to her, she definitely had a great time with her former group mates.
“I feel at ease and keep laughing, and I have a good time. My members who keep growing and growing. You’re so cool!”
She ended her message with a birthday greeting for Minzy.
“There’s so much I want to say, but I’ll stop here because I think it would be 100 pages long if I wrote it all… I love you so much, 2NE1! Happy birthday, Minzy!”
2NE1 was among the successful pioneers of K-Pop’s international popularity. The group was formed in 2009 under YG Entertainment.
Then, in 2016, the group formally disbanded after almost of year of hiatus following Park Bom’s issue. Minzy’s leaving the group for a different agency also contributed to it.
Despite disbanding as a professional group, the 2NE1 girls continued to be good friends and they have been meeting up to bond.
Currently, they have been pursuing solo careers. Minzy has even signed a contract with Viva in November 2020.

Sandara Park is a South Korean actress, singer, performer, and model. Her career started in the Philippines when she joined the “Star Circle Quest” in 2004. In 2007, she returned to South Korea and became a member of the K-Pop group 2NE1.
Last December, Sandara and iKON’s Jay surprised their Filipino fans with their cover of Iñigo Pascual’s popular song, “Dahil Sa’yo”. It can also be remembered that Sandara once became emotional because of her desire for 2NE1 to be formed again.
