FDA issues warning against cologne endorsed by Toni Gonzaga, "no valid certificate"

- The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a warning against Pouf Everyday Bloom Cologne Spray

- It stated that the cologne has no valid Certificate of Product Notification (CPN)

- The cologne is the one that was endorsed by Toni Gonzaga, launched by Toni and vlogger Winnie Wong

- The FDA also advised the public not to purchase the product and it encouraged those who are using the product and who may suffer adverse reactions to immediately report any adverse effects

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued an advisory against the Pouf Everyday Bloom Cologne Spray.

The FDA said that the said cologne does not have a valid Certificate of Product Notification (CPN) as of Dec. 17, 2020.

Coconuts Manila reported that the same product was launched by actress and TV host Toni Gonzaga and Winnie Wong, a vlogger.

In the FDA's press release, the agency stated that it cannot assure the quality and safety of such products.

It added that it can pose a health risk to consumers, which was why it advised against the purchase of the said cologne.

The FDA said with particularity the following:

"The use of substandard and possibly adulterated cosmetic products may result to adverse reactions including, but not limited to, skin irritation, itchiness, anaphylactic shock and organ failure."

An ABS-CBN writer, Jerry Gracio, took to Twitter and sent a strong message to Toni Gonzaga. The subject of his tweet was the apology issued by Toni to the PBB housemate who was evicted, who also happened to favor the closure of ABS-CBN. Gracio's tweet emphasized that there were thousands of ABS-CBN employees who lost their jobs. He also added that Toni must not insult the Kapamilyas who fought and yet lost their jobs, unlike her who still has a job up to the present.
