Lalamove rider shells out P3,000 after victimized by fake booking amid crisis

- The order was canceled and the story does not end there because the box of the cellphone contained a rock

- The order was for a Huawei Y6P but when the box was opened, it contained a rock, which would not have any value

- The concerned netizen who posted the story of the rider advised other riders to always check the package as well as verify the identity of the customer

A concerned netizen took to Facebook and shared the story of a Lalamove rider from Las Piñas.

The netizen said that the rider shelled out P3,000 for a cellphone order. He suffered from two catastrophes all at the same time.

The order was canceled and worse, the content of the box, which was supposedly a Huwaei Y6 P was just a rock.

The netizen sympathized with Kuya but said that good karma would always come back to Kuya.

The case posted by the netizen is not the first case of fake booking as there have been many reports like it before.

An excerpt from the post of the netizen was included by PhilNews:

KAWAWA SI KUYA RIDER NG LALAMOVE TAGA LAS PINAS SYA NA FAKEBOOK SYA AT NAG ABONO NG 3K PARA SA CELLPHONE NA BATO ANG LAMAN NAAWA AKO SOBRA KAY KUYA SANA MAGING LESSON LEARN NA ITO LALO NA SA MGA TROPANG NAGDEDELIVER AT NAG AABONO MUST CHECK THE UNIT AND INDENTITY NG KA TRANSACTION PICTURE PARA MAY HABOL KYO KUNG SAKALING MALOKO KYO."

It also stated that for reasons unknown, the original post was removed by the netizen.

A food delivery rider was lauded by netizens after it sacrificed so much to protect the food of his customer, including braving the flooded street.

There was also another rider who lost P1,036 because his order was canceled by a customer despite the fact that he already paid for them. He attempted to have the order paid but the customer no longer responded.

Food delivery services are very popular nowadays, especially with limited transportation available. Among the popular ones are Grab Food and FoodPanda.
