The founder and lead guitarist of M.Y.M.P. (Make Your Momma Proud), Chin Alcantara, has now ventured into his new food business.
KAMI learned that because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Chin had to find a new way to provide for his family.
In his interview on Bright Side, Chin shared that he started his own milk tea and food business last June.
Since they did not have a delivery rider at that time, he decided to be the one to deliver the food to their customers.
“Sabi ko 'Sige ako muna 'yung magra-rider habang wala pa tayong rider.’ Sinimulan namin sa June, ako na mismo nag-deliver sa mga milk tea,” he said,
The lead guitarist admitted that he had a difficult time during the adjustment period. However, he is grateful to learn and discover new things he can do to support his family.
"Kailangan marunong tayo at willing tayong mag-adjust sa situation. Magtipid tayo, at willing tayong mag-sacrifice,” he said.

M.Y.M.P. or Make Your Momma Proud is a famous acoustic band in the Philippines. It had singers Nina Girado and Juris Fernandez as their lead vocalists in the past.
Earlier, Chin revealed that ABS-CBN allegedly banned M.Y.M.P. after Juris left the band. He said that Star Records “froze” them and they were not allowed to create new albums and move to a different label.
Chin also shared that M.Y.M.P had a regular guesting on ASAP. However, when they had a new vocalist and launched it on the same show, it was also the last time that they were allowed to perform there.
