Michael V., also known as Bitoy, recently assured netizens that he is alive following a death hoax about him circulating online.

KAMI learned that Bitoy posted on his Instagram account a screenshot showing a headline that reads, “BREAKING NEWS: Aktor na si Michael V. o BITOY ay Pumunaw na Kanina lamang…”
The false claim was published by a ‘GMA24ORASNEWS.BLOGSPOT.COM’ which tried to replicate GMA News and Public Affairs nightly newscast, 24 Oras.
The Kapuso actor and comedian debunked the fake news in his post’s caption.
"Muntik ako mahulog sa kama!" he quipped.
He then reminded his followers to be cautious in believing and spreading fake news.
“Si Josie Gonzales, advance mag-isip. Ingat po tayo sa mga ganito. Gusto ko lang imulat ang mga tao sa dangers ng Covid pero ibang danger po ang ipi-prisinta n’yo sa pagkakalat ng mga ganito,” Bitoy wrote.
He also added that, “Netizens, kayo na po bahala.”
