The Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) released new guidelines for the "new normal" amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The guidelines encompassed weddings, masses, baptisms, and other church-related activities.
Weddings may be held but a number of participants in traditional church weddings would have to be excluded.
For one, the bride and groom must say goodbye to the entourage as only immediate family members of the bride and groom are allowed at the wedding.
As per the guideline, immediate family members would mainly include the parents of the couple.
There would be a set of sponsors that will be allowed but the "abays" will become a thing of the past.
