The residents of Dasmariñas Village Association (DVA) have released their official statement on the incident that transpired at one of the resident's homes.

According to the DVA, they are supporting the efforts of the government to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Along with this, it also stressed their rights to be secure in their own homes.

"While DVA (Dasmariñas Village Association) supports the government's efforts to eradicate COVID-19, DVA also recognizes the right of all residents to be secure in their houses against unwarranted intrusion by law enforcement officers," the statement said.

The DVA's statement came after one of the Dasmariñas' residents, was assaulted by a cop and was attempted to be arrested at his own home.

The cops tried arresting Javier Salvador Parra for lashing out against the police after they attempted to find him because his house help was not wearing a face mask while gardening.

The DVA would also be investigating the incident. It must strike a balance between the response of the government to COVID-19 and the rights of its residents.

Here's the statement of DVA as posted by Rambo Talabong.
