As fate would have it, the train was moving slowly, resulting in the man surviving the hit.

The man even managed to stand up and walk on his own.

He was immediately brought to a hospital for immediate medical attention.

According to local media reports, he only sustained an injury on his left hand.

In Peru, a train operator who accidentally hits a person may face legal and professional consequences depending on whether negligence was involved.

If the operator followed all safety protocols and the accident was unavoidable, they are unlikely to be held personally liable.

However, negligence such as speeding, ignoring signals, or failing to follow procedures could lead to legal action and job-related penalties.

Liability for train accidents can also extend beyond the operator, as railway companies are responsible for maintaining tracks, trains, and signaling systems.

If poor maintenance or safety failures contribute to an accident, the company may be held accountable.
