A popular Chinese gaming streamer created a massive buzz after attending an awards ceremony recently.

According to The Star, the gamer named You Chong surprised her numerous fans when she unveiled her real look as she personally received her award.

She received the Top 12 Most Popular Streamer Award from the creators of QQ Speed, an online racing game. The ceremony was held in Taicang, Jiangsu province, China last January 19.

You Chong, whose real look appears somewhat different from the profile picture she uses, delivered a brief acceptance speech where she thanked the organizers. Silence fell over the venue when she concluded her speech.

This was the first time seeing the popular streamer in person as her audience had only seen her profile picture.

Meanwhile, You Chong’s true appearance sparked mixed reactions on social media. Some accused her of deceiving them by using a fake photo of herself while others defended her, stressing that her skills and engaging approach should be praised rather than bothering about her appearance.
