Tangmo, whose full name is Nida Patcharaveerapong, has passed away at the age of 37.
The popular Thai actress allegedly fell off a speedboat on February 24. On February 26, her body was found by rescuers in Bangkok’s Chao Phraya River.
According to a report by Thai PBS World, autopsy results indicate that Tangmo died due to drowning.
She was reportedly on a speedboat with five companions – her manager, three friends, and the owner of the speedboat – when the alleged accident happened. She allegedly was not wearing a life jacket when she fell off the speedboat, as reported by The Bangkong Post.

The case is still being investigated to make sure that there was no foul play involved.
Nida Patcharaveerapong, more popularly known as Tangmo, was a popular television and film actress in Thailand. She died at the age of 37 after reportedly falling off a speedboat in a river. According to Rappler, some of her best known projects include The Fallen Leaf, Ghost of Mae Nak, Pard 888, and Bangkok Love Stories: Innocence.
Other Asian actors who passed away in recent years include Korean stars Kim Mi-soo and Song Yoo Jung.
Korean actress Song Yoo Jung died on January 23, 2021. She was the star in the hit drama series 'School 2017' and also in the romance 'Dear My Name'. She was even among those who joined in the making of the music video of iKon's 'Goodbye Road’. There was speculation that she took her own life but it was not confirmed by her family and the authorities.
“Snowdrop” actress Kim Mi-soo passed away at the age of 31 last January 5. Landscape Entertainment, her agency, announced the heartbreaking news in a statement released on Wednesday. The agency did not reveal the cause of death.
