A French woman was scammed out of €830,000 – or an estimated ₱50 million – by a scammer using AI-generated images of Brad Pitt.

In a report by The Hollywood Reporter, the 53-year-old woman, who gave her name as Anne, was contacted by someone claiming to be Pitt’s mother, Jane, who “told me that her son needed someone like me.”

Anne then explained to a French TV channel, “At first I said to myself that it was fake, that it’s ridiculous. But I’m not used to social media and I didn’t really understand what was happening to me.”

The victim, who believed she was in a long-term relationship with the Hollywood actor, said the scammer claimed he was undergoing cancer treatment and couldn’t access his money due to his high-profile divorce from Angelina Jolie.
