The Filipina who sang the Philippine national anthem “Lupang Hinirang” in the Axiata Arene in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia just before the start of the boxing match between Manny Pacquiao and Lucas Matthysse became a viral sensation.
KAMI learned that the singer is Ali Forbes, an actress and a singer.
Ali broke through in showbiz by joining Pinoy Big Brother 7, where she got evicted on week 22.
According to PUSH, she plays the character Tisay Tabayoyong in the romantic teleserye Sana Dalawa Ang Puso, also starring Jodi Sta. Maria, Robin Padilla and Richard Yap.
Pacquiao registered his 60th win as a professional boxer and won the WBA Welterweight Title by defeating Matthysse, as previously reported by KAMI.
This was also his first knockout victory in nine years.
Some of his possible future opponents include current pound-for-pound kings Terrence Crawford, Mikey Garcia and Vasyl Lomachenko.
