The Filipino gymnast won the gold for floor exercise in Olympic gymnastics.
He bagged the Philippines' first gold medal in this year's Olympic Games, making him the second Filipino Olympic gold medalist after weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz's historic win back in Tokyo three years ago.

"Masaya kasi matagal na panahon na ni Caloy na nire-ready ('yung sarili niya) simula nu'ng 2020 Japan Olympics. Four years niyang tiniis 'yan, talagang pinagpaguran ng bata," said Mark Andrew.
"Deserve niya 'yan. Dugo at pawis 'yung pinaghirapan ni Caloy diyan, talagang gustong-gusto niya makuha 'yan."
Mark Andrew added, "Masaya po. Thanks God. Laban Pilipinas!"
