Manny Pacquiao has been stripped of his super welterweight title, the World Boxing Association (WBA) announced on Saturday, January 30.
KAMI learned that “inactivity” was the reason why the said boxing organization decided to strip the prominent athlete of his world title.

The WBA said through its official website that the Filipino legend has not defended his title since he last earned it in 2019 versus Keith Thurman.
It even cited a rule that every WBA world titleholder must adhere to.
"Rule C.22-24 states that when a champion is unable to defend the belt for medical, legal or other reasons beyond his control, he may be named champion in recess," the statement reads.

Due to the aforementioned relegation, Yordenis Ugas, a boxer from Cuba, has been promoted to Welterweight Super Champion by the WBA.
He even uttered that he wants to fight Pacquiao to be able to see who between them should hold the WBA world title.
"Thanks to the WBA for raising me to Super Champion... Manny Pacquiao is a legend and he will always be champion…” the Cuban boxer said.
"My team has my consent for my next fight to fight Pacquiao if he wants to show who is the true WBA champion…" he added.
Manny Pacquiao is undeniably one of the most popular Filipino athletes in the world. He is the only 8-division world champion.
He recently responded to a netizen who bravely said that he wants to court the female child of the senator. He wrote the word, "Hindi" in response.
The said politician and Jinkee Pacquiao also spent time with Raffy Tulfo and his wife. All four of them seemed to be having a great time with each other, based on the photos.
