On his Instagram page, Escudero shared a message that has since gone viral, expressing nothing but appreciation for the trust and support given to him during his tenure.

"Isang malaking karangalan ang tiwalang ipinagkaloob sa akin upang pangunahan ang Senado sa loob ng mahigit isang taon. Sa panahong iyon, sama-sama nating pinagtibay ang mga reporma, pinangalagaan ang institusyon, at tiniyak na mananatiling bukas ang Senado para sa lahat," he had written online.

He went on to thank his fellow senators, the staff of the Senate and the Filipino people who continue to trust him.

"Taos-puso akong nagpapasalamat sa aking mga kapwa senador, sa masisipag na kawani ng Senado, at sa bawat Pilipinong patuloy na nagtitiwala sa ating tungkulin," he added in his post.

In the concluding part of his message, Escudero reassured the public that his service does not end with his position as Senate President, vowing to continue advocating for reforms and serving the nation on his end too.

"Ang aking paglilingkod ay hindi nagtatapos sa isang posisyon. Patuloy akong magsusulong ng mga adhikain para sa Senado at sa sambayanang Pilipino—sa loob o labas man ng plenaryo," he stated on Instagram.

Escudero's statement has drawn attention online, with many supporters commending him for his humility and unwavering dedication to public service despite recent developments in the Senate.
