- The actor-turned-politician stated that it is unfair to describe the attackers as “Muslims”

- Padilla argued that other criminals do not get tagged as “Christians” when they commit crimes

- Furthermore, he wants PNP Chief General Rodolfo Azurin Jr. to educate his men about this sensitive matter

Senator Robin Padilla called out the policemen who supposedly tagged the three hostage-takers in Camp Crame, Quezon City as “Muslims.”

Two of the hostage-takers were shot by policemen while another took former Senator Leila De Lima hostage yesterday, October 9, before getting shot himself. One cop was wounded during the deadly encounter.

According to Padilla, it was unfair to describe the attackers as “Muslims” since other criminals do not get tagged as “Christians” when they commit crimes.

The senator added that the attack was not motivated by their religious beliefs.

For these reasons, Padilla wants PNP Chief General Rodolfo Azurin Jr. to educate his men about this sensitive matter.

“Mainam po na identify niyo po sila hindi sa kanyang religion dahil walang kinalaman ang religion po dito.
