"Mabigat magbatuhan ng putik. Hindi natin alam kung ano talaga totoo diyan. Kaya ang masasabi ko lang, kung talagang walang kasalanan, dapat matapos na ‘yan. Kawawa naman ‘yung tao magsa-suffer nang walang kasalanan. Pero kung talagang nagkasala siya diyan dapat harapin niya ‘yun,” Revilla said.

Taguig City prosecutors filed a rape case against Navarro over the alleged rape of Cornejo back in 2014. The Department of Justice (DOJ) has already junked Cornejo’s rape complaint against Navarro for her allegedly inconsistent statements in her affidavits.

However, ABS-CBN reported that the Court of Appeals granted Cornejo’s petition regarding the dismissal of her rape complaint, stating that it is better for Navarro to defend himself at trial.

The controversy became big news back in 2014, when Cornejo accused Navarro of intoxicating her and raping her in her condominium unit in Taguig City, as reported by Rappler.

Navarro was also allegedly beaten up by Cornejo’s male friends during the same night the alleged rape took place. The Taguig court convicted Cornejo, Cedric Lee, and Jed Fernandez for grave coercion in 2018 for what happened to Navarro in 2014, as reported by Inquirer.

Vhong Navarro is a Filipino comedian, actor, dancer, singer, judge, and TV host of ABS-CBN Entertainment Groups. He is part of the dance group Streetboys in the Philippines. He is currently hosting the noontime variety show, It's Showtime.

Deniece Cornejo was allegedly crushed by ABS-CBN, the network where Vhong Navarro works, according to famous lawyer Atty. Ferdinand Topacio. Atty. Topacio said that Deniece has been through enough and that he already pitied her. He also revealed that the former model and actress is in the process of rebuilding her life after it was smashed by the giant network. The famous lawyer also said that Deniece doesn’t want to be an actress anymore, expressing his opinion that she’s already happy where she is.
