Joey de Leon took to social media to react to the rumor online that he is not supporting his close friend Tito Sotto in his bid for the vice presidency in the 2022 Elections.
KAMI learned that Joey completely denied the rumor and called it fake news.
The comedian clarified that he is fully supporting Tito in his desire to be the next vice president of the Philippines.
He added that he and Tito have remained friends and loyal to each other through seven presidencies already.

“Anak ng pating eh halos pitong buwan pa bago mag-election pero nagkalat na fake news!
“Kesyo ako daw, gamit ang mukha at pangalan ko, iniendorso ang isang kandidato! Pwede ba, nasa litratong ito natural ang aking iboboto.
“Eh PITONG presidente na kaming magkakasama! Kailangan pa bang i-explain yan? Dun sa mga ‘friends’ ko kuno, fact check muna before posting… Ginagalit nyo ‘ko eh,” Joey wrote on Instagram.
Joey de Leon is an iconic actor, comedian and television host in the Philippines. He is best known for being a pioneer host, along with Vic Sotto and Tito Sotto, of the longest-running noontime show in the country, “Eat Bulaga.”
The Kapuso star has five children – two with his first wife, actress Daria Ramírez, and three with his second and current wife, Eileen Macapagal.
In a past report by KAMI, Joey de Leon reacted to the fake Facebook accounts that use his name. He clarified that he does not have a Facebook page and he only uses Instagram and Twitter for his posts.
During the quarantine period, Joey showed off his real hair color and new hairstyle through a new Instagram picture. The 73-year-old comedian praised his look in the photo’s caption, calling himself “handsome” with white hair.
