The responding authorities, which include two corporals and one master sergeant assigned to the Iloilo City Police Station 2, are currently under intense administrative scrutiny to determine if they strictly adhered to established police operational procedures during the violent early-morning apprehension.
According to a report by Brigada News, the chaotic sequence of events started when a rapidly moving vehicle crashed heavily into a commercial store and a parked tricycle in Barangay Baldoza, located within the La Paz district.
Instead of stepping out of the vehicle to check on the massive property damage, the driver quickly sped away and fled the crash site.

This reckless evasion prompted highly concerned citizens to make urgent 911 emergency calls, alerting the local precinct about the fleeing suspect.
Law enforcement personnel immediately mobilized a pursuit and successfully intercepted the escaping vehicle in the neighboring area of Barangay Caingin.
When the responding police officers approached the intercepted vehicle and attempted to take the suspect into lawful custody, the situation drastically escalated into a life-threatening encounter.
Initial police incident reports indicate that the driver violently maneuvered his car in a desperate bid to escape, allegedly attempting to directly run over the approaching officers on foot.
Perceiving an immediate and imminent threat to their own lives, the law enforcement personnel drew their service firearms and opened fire on the moving vehicle, ultimately hitting the hostile driver.
The suspect, officially identified by local authorities under the alias "Pao," sustained a severe gunshot wound to the abdomen during the high-tension armed standoff.
Emergency medical responders quickly rushed the injured medical professional to a nearby hospital for immediate surgical intervention.
Iloilo City Police Office Director Police Col. Wilbert Parilla later confirmed to the press that the physician survived the ordeal and is currently listed in stable condition while recovering under heavy guard.
Following the highly controversial armed encounter, the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) Regional Office VI officially ordered a separate, independent investigation to ensure full transparency and strict operational accountability among the involved police officers.
The three cops have been temporarily reassigned while investigators meticulously review the exact circumstances that led to the discharging of firearms and whether the use of lethal force was absolutely necessary.
Meanwhile, once he is medically cleared by his attending physicians, the apprehended doctor is expected to face a string of heavy criminal complaints.
Authorities noted that based on preliminary information, he will be officially charged with direct assault against persons in authority, attempted h0micide, and reckless imprudence resulting in damage to property due to the initial crash.
Both parties are now closely monitoring the investigation, sparking a broader public conversation regarding standard police engagement protocols and the severe consequences of evading the law on the road.
In other news, a devastating landslide in Barangay Pulangbato, Cebu City, tragically claimed the lives of an elderly woman and two family members. A surviving household member named Julie Pearl sustained injuries during the sudden disaster as rescuers rushed to the scene. Local officials are inspecting a severe mountain fissure that may stem from a powerful 6.5 magnitude earthquake last September. Over 200 residents across 75 families were swiftly evacuated due to high risks of further downpours and earth movement.
Still in other news, Police officers arrested a 24-year-old man for allegedly breaking into and stealing from his neighbor's home in Barangay Holy Spirit, QC. Security camera footage caught the intruder entering the unit while the tenant was away at work. The vigilant resident monitored the break-in remotely on a smartphone and alerted law enforcement immediately.
