The infant was discovered by a resident who was alerted by the sound of crying. Upon checking the area, the resident found the baby left beside a store. The situation immediately raised concern due to the baby’s fragile condition.
Authorities said the child appeared to have just been born. “Bagong silang po ang sanggol dahil hindi pa napuputol ang umbilical cord o pusod at balot ng duguang tela,” the report stated. This indicated that the infant had not yet received proper medical care at the time she was abandoned.
The baby was wrapped in what was described as a bloodied cloth. Despite the alarming circumstances, responders acted quickly to ensure her safety. Local authorities promptly brought the infant to a nearby hospital for immediate medical attention.
