Emergency responders brought the injured cyclist to a hospital for medical attention.

She was later allowed to go home after treatment, suggesting that her injuries were not life-threatening, though authorities have not released further medical details.

Investigators have since determined the plate number of the pickup truck believed to be involved in the collision.

Police said coordination is underway with the Land Transportation Office Region 7 to trace the registered owner of the vehicle and establish who was behind the wheel during the incident.

The case highlights ongoing concerns about road safety and accountability in nighttime traffic situations. Authorities are urging motorists to remain vigilant, follow traffic laws, and immediately assist victims in the event of a crash rather than fleeing the scene.

In another development, a disturbing viral video showed a Filipina being attacked by a foreign man inside a shopping mall in Singapore, drawing strong public concern. The Department of Migrant Workers confirmed that its labor attaché has already reached out to the victim and is extending assistance. “Medical assistance is the most basic there, and of course, filing of the complaint, our lawyer would stand ready to help her,” said Hans Cacdac. Authorities are treating the incident as a case of physical assault and are working closely with Singaporean counterparts to ensure the victim receives proper medical attention, legal support, and due process as investigators continue to establish the full details of the case.
