Investigators said Ramilo-De Guzman was seated in the vehicle with her three children when her father stepped out to open the gate of their home.

The children were not physically injured but were left deeply shaken by the incident.

Ramilo-De Guzman previously won Miss San Manuel and earned several minor awards during the 2013 national pageant.

She also completed a Bachelor of Secondary Education degree at the University of Perpetual Help System Laguna‑Isabela.

Major Rogelio Natividad, chief of the San Manuel police, said authorities are examining several angles, including personal and work-related motives.

“We have no clear leads yet as to the motive or the suspects. We are processing the evidence and conducting follow-ups,” Natividad said in a phone interview Saturday.

He added that investigators are awaiting the crime laboratory report to determine the firearm used and urged residents to report suspicious individuals.

Ramilo-De Guzman’s live-in partner, Clifford Dela Cruz, rushed back to Isabela after learning of her death and later denounced the killing on social media, suggesting jealousy or resentment tied to her stand against bullying may have contributed to the attack.

In a related incident, a viral clip showed a Filipino woman being assaulted by a foreign man inside a shopping mall in Singapore, triggering widespread concern. The Department of Migrant Workers said its labor attaché has already made contact with the victim and is providing support. “Medical assistance is the most basic there, and of course, filing of the complaint, our lawyer would stand ready to help her,” said Hans Cacdac. Authorities are treating the case as physical assault and are coordinating with Singaporean counterparts to ensure the woman receives proper medical care, legal assistance, and a thorough investigation aimed at securing justice.

Separately, a family in Barangay Mayamot, Antipolo, was shaken after CCTV footage captured a man entering their bedroom and rummaging through their belongings while they slept on February 8, 2026. Homeowner Mary Rose Bustamante said smartphones, wallets, and over ₱20,000 in cash were taken during the break-in. Some of the stolen bags were later found in a nearby alley, but the cash has not been recovered. Police identified the suspect as a local resident previously associated with burglary and carnapping, prompting intensified efforts to locate him and prevent further incidents in the community.
