A man, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, struck Yurongo on the neck, prompting stage staff and nearby attendees to step in and restrain the assailant. The unexpected attack caused a moment of panic, forcing Yurongo to quickly move away from the stage to ensure his safety.
Barangay tanod noted that the incident initially went unnoticed due to the large crowd and the ongoing picture-taking activity. Emergency responders brought the suspect to a hospital for treatment before placing him in the Maharlika Detention Cell. Yurongo also received medical care after experiencing dizziness and discomfort from the attack.
