The incident, which was captured on the facility's security cameras, began when the suspect allegedly seized a fuel nozzle and began spraying gasoline across the pavement, creating a significant safety hazard.
According to reports from the San Jose Municipal Police Station, employees at the station were alarmed when the 29-year-old suspect arrived and began acting erratically.
When staff members attempted to intervene and stop him from wasting fuel on the ground, the man allegedly turned the nozzle toward them, threatening to soak them in the flammable liquid.

Local authorities were immediately summoned to the scene. Police Corporal Rohenio Carbo, one of the first to respond, arrived just as the suspect was continuing his disruptive behavior. In the ensuing struggle, the suspect directed the fuel stream at Corporal Carbo, striking him in the face.
Despite the immediate physical discomfort and the extreme danger of the situation, Corporal Carbo and his partner, Police Staff Sergeant PJ Adam Caparas, managed to subdue the man and wrest the nozzle from his grip.
The investigation revealed that the suspect’s actions at the gas station were part of a larger criminal episode.
Police identified the man as a resident of the nearby town of San Jose and a suspect in a motorcycle theft earlier that evening.
It was further alleged that before arriving at the station, the suspect had attempted to physically assault the owner of the stolen vehicle with a bladed weapon.
Sergeant Caparas and Corporal Carbo successfully recovered the stolen motorcycle following the arrest.
The suspect is now facing a string of legal complaints, including carnapping, resistance to arrest, and disobedience to persons in authority.
The Negros Oriental police confirmed that Corporal Carbo is in stable condition and did not suffer long-term injuries from the fuel exposure, though he underwent immediate decontamination.
The suspect remains in custody at the San Jose Municipal Police Station, while investigators look into whether he was under the influence of any substances during the rampage.
In other news, a 25-year-old laborer from Batangas is currently being held by Baguio City police following a violent encounter that left his 44-year-old coworker severely injured. Preliminary reports suggest the attack was triggered by relentless verbal harassment and personal mockery aimed at the younger worker earlier in the evening. The injured man is undergoing emergency treatment at a nearby hospital, while the suspect remains in detention as prosecutors finalize the formal complaint. Authorities are tracing the conflict back to a social gathering on Magsaysay Avenue, where earlier tensions reportedly simmered before erupting at the workers' shared quarters.
