According to a report by Jhomer Apresto on “24 Oras Weekend,” CCTV footage from Barangay Sto. Domingo showed a man stepping out of his house and approaching another man along Flora Street shortly after 1 a.m.

Moments later, the man’s wife followed, and the encounter quickly turned into a heated confrontation between both sides.

The situation worsened when the man punched another individual wearing a red shirt, causing him to fall.

He then attempted to strike the first man he approached, who managed to evade the blow. As tensions rose, another man grabbed a bottle from a closed store and threw it at the attacker.

The violence continued as a woman ran toward the same store, picked up a bottle, and appeared ready to throw it at others. Shortly after, a man was seen kicking the woman amid the chaos.

Several residents tried to step in and pacify those involved, but the group refused to back down until barangay personnel arrived and restored order.

Barangay officials said the couple who first confronted the group were awakened by loud drinking activities involving several youths.

“Di umano ay mayroong karamdaman ‘yung kaniyang maybahay, kaya siya ay lumabas at kaniya ring sinabihan. Mayroon daw birthday kaya sila nag-inuman,” says Barangay Kagawad Rey Vila.

Another CCTV clip showed a man briefly holding a large rock before returning without it, later throwing a plant instead. The barangay acknowledged that the two groups had a prior dispute but declined to provide details.

The impact caused the sedan to lose control and crash into a nearby parking area, damaging five parked motorcycles. By Monday, January 19, authorities released the sedan driver after confirming that an amicable settlement had been reached with the enforcer’s family and the owners of the damaged motorcycles.
