According to a report by Cyril Chaves on GTV News One Mindanao on Tuesday, the violent attack happened in Lower Tambo, Barangay Macasandig.
An amateur video taken at the scene showed the suspects surrounding the victim and assaulting him before the stabbing took place.
Despite sustaining around 22 stab wounds, the victim was still rushed to a hospital for treatment.

However, doctors later declared him dead on arrival due to the severity of his injuries.
Police investigations revealed that the suspects allegedly lured the victim by asking to borrow his motorcycle.
Authorities believe this was used as a pretext to get him to the location where the attack occurred.
Immediately after the incident, police launched a pursuit operation that led to the arrest of one of the suspects, a 19-year-old male.
The two other suspects involved in the attack are still being hunted by authorities.
GMA Regional TV One Mindanao is still attempting to get a statement from the arrested suspect.
Police said the suspects were allegedly driven by anger after suspecting that the victim was responsible for their father’s arrest in connection with illegal dru*gs. Investigators noted that this belief may have triggered the violent assault.
Authorities also confirmed that the victim had been a valuable asset in police operations, providing assistance that contributed significantly to law enforcement efforts in the area.
The investigation remains ongoing as police work to locate the remaining suspects and determine the full circumstances surrounding the killing. Charges are expected to be filed once all those involved are in custody.
