De Juan vanished on Dec. 10 after leaving home to buy wedding shoes, just days before her scheduled wedding to fiancé Mark Arjay Reyes.

She was eventually found on Dec. 29 in Pangasinan, ending weeks of uncertainty for her family.

In a recent episode of "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho," rider Rodel Dela Rosa recalled that he did not immediately notice de Juan when she approached him.

“Hindi ko po siya napansin doon. Bale nakayuko kasi ako na tumitingin sa... list ko. Hawak ko 'yung cellphone ko,” Dela Rosa said.

Moments later, he realized someone was beside him asking for help.

“Biglang nasa gilid ko po, then umiiyak na nagmamakaawa na humihingi ng tulong. Talagang maaawa ka sa mukha niya, talagang tuliro, umiiyak na alam n'yo parang bata,” he added.

According to Dela Rosa, de Juan appeared distressed and desperate to return home. “Gusto na niyang makauwi sa kanila,” he said.

Dela Rosa only began to piece together who she was after de Juan explained that she had gone out to buy wedding shoes and mentioned her fiancé’s name.

He searched online and discovered that her disappearance had gone viral.

The rider then offered to take her either to the police station or to his mother-in-law’s home so she could rest, eat, and clean up. De Juan chose the latter.

While at the house, Dela Rosa lent her his phone so she could call her family.

“‘Yun, umiyak na siya. Nag-iyakan sila,” the rider said.

In the same program, Reyes shared details of how de Juan tried to survive on her own while missing.

“Sinabi niya sa 'kin na every morning... hindi siya naglalakad. Para daw humahanap lang siya ng silong—doon siya nagpapahinga,” Reyes said.

He added that she traveled mostly at night, following buses bound for Cubao and avoiding asking for help out of shame over her appearance.

The Quezon City Police District has since closed the case, though authorities say it may be reopened if new information indicating a possible crime comes to light.

In an earlier KAMI report, the Bureau of Customs was described as conducting a closer review of the importation of around 40 luxury vehicles reportedly linked to the family of Sarah Discaya. The scrutiny allegedly started after an interview showcasing the family’s high-end car collection gained traction on social media. Officials shared that import documents, shipping records, and the identities of declared consignees are being checked to determine whether customs regulations may have been breached. Interest in the issue has intensified as Discaya has also been associated with contractors tied to flood control projects that are currently under Senate examination. Separately, reports also confirmed the death of former Department of Public Works and Highways Undersecretary Catalina Cabral, marking another notable development amid ongoing national concerns.
