A member of the Philippine Coast Guard was taken into custody following an alleged se*xual harassment incident inside a restobar located along EDSA in Barangay 147, Zone 16, Pasay City, according to a report from the National Capital Region Police Office.

Based on the police account, the incident occurred on Monday while the victim, a waitress at the establishment, was attending to customers and serving their orders.
Authorities said the suspect allegedly walked behind the victim and intentionally touched her buttock before immediately heading toward the comfort room.
The victim reportedly remained composed after the incident and chose to wait for the suspect to come out of the restroom.

Upon seeing him again, she confronted the suspect regarding what had happened.
After the confrontation, the victim approached the restobar’s bouncer to report the alleged misconduct and request assistance.
The establishment’s security personnel acted promptly, resulting in the suspect being held inside the premises.
Following the intervention, police assistance was requested to properly handle the situation and document the complaint.
Responding officers arrived at the scene shortly after and placed the suspect under arrest.
The individual was then brought to the police station for further investigation and proper disposition.
Authorities emphasized the importance of reporting incidents of harassment, especially those occurring in workplaces, to ensure that victims receive immediate support and that alleged offenders are held accountable.
The case will undergo further legal proceedings as police gather statements and evidence related to the incident.
Law enforcement officials also reminded members of uniformed services to uphold professional conduct at all times, noting that allegations of misconduct are taken seriously regardless of rank or affiliation.
The investigation remains ongoing as authorities determine the appropriate charges to be filed.

According to a report by Gary De Leon of TV5 Frontline Pilipinas, the family started receiving threats after they lent P1 million to a resident of their barangay, who allegedly used the money for a business.
In another viral local report, a 51-year-old public school teacher in Las Piñas City was stabbed multiple times by her own husband. Based on a report by EJ Gomez on Unang Balita, the 38-year-old suspect committed the crime inside the school’s faculty room. Police said the school had a security guard, but since the suspect was a familiar face, he was able to enter and leave easily. The suspect claimed he went there to talk to his wife and fix their issues, but the situation escalated into a heated argument.
