The quiet pre-dawn hours along Marcos Highway turned into a scene of horror on Friday when a bus driver was executed in front of his commuters. The victim, a resident of Antipolo identified by his alias "Jefferson," was driving his route when the unthinkable happened.

According to reports from the Antipolo City Police, the crime occurred at approximately 2:50 AM near Kanto Padilla in Barangay San Isidro. The gunman had reportedly flagged down the bus, pretending to be a regular passenger looking for a ride.

Upon boarding, the suspect calmly approached Jefferson and inquired about the fare to Cubao. When the driver replied that the ticket cost ₱88, the man immediately pulled out a handgun and shot the driver in the head without any provocation or warning.

As soon as the victim slumped over, the gunman leaped out of the bus. Witnesses described the suspect as wearing a black hoodie jacket. He quickly boarded a waiting motorcycle driven by an accomplice wearing a helmet. The duo was last seen fleeing toward the direction of Sitio Cabading.
