According to reports from the Antipolo City Police, the crime occurred at approximately 2:50 AM near Kanto Padilla in Barangay San Isidro. The gunman had reportedly flagged down the bus, pretending to be a regular passenger looking for a ride.

Upon boarding, the suspect calmly approached Jefferson and inquired about the fare to Cubao. When the driver replied that the ticket cost ₱88, the man immediately pulled out a handgun and shot the driver in the head without any provocation or warning.

As soon as the victim slumped over, the gunman leaped out of the bus. Witnesses described the suspect as wearing a black hoodie jacket. He quickly boarded a waiting motorcycle driven by an accomplice wearing a helmet. The duo was last seen fleeing toward the direction of Sitio Cabading.

While the investigation is still in its early stages, the brutal nature of the crime has left the local transport community in shock. Authorities are currently reviewing CCTV footage along the highway to identify the suspects and determine if the attack was premeditated or linked to a personal grudge.
