The victim, who worked at a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company, was discovered bloodied and already lifeless on Saturday.
According to a report by Cyril Chaves aired on GMA Regional TV One Mindanao on Tuesday, the woman sustained 12 stab wounds to the neck, indicating a violent and personal attack.
When authorities secured the crime scene, the victim’s husband arrived and was seen overwhelmed with emotion, collapsing into a seated position as he cried upon seeing his wife’s body.

However, the investigation took a dramatic turn after police revealed that the grieving husband was later identified as the primary suspect.
Police Regional Office–Northern Mindanao spokesperson Police Major Joann Navarro said the man eventually admitted to the crime in the presence of his lawyer, confessing that he was responsible for his wife’s death.
Based on the suspect’s statement, the couple had been walking toward the city proper on Friday night when a heated argument broke out and escalated into violence.
The suspect claimed jealousy played a role in the dispute, alleging issues related to sensitive online content.
“Kapila na gyud maam na inform pa gani nako ni sir, ako ang mga video naa na siya’y mga video nga sensitive bitaw. More than nud& tapos makig-collab (sa uban),” ayon sa suspek.
Despite this claim, police said records show that the couple had a history of conflicts that sometimes turned physical.
Investigators have identified jealousy as the primary motive behind the killing and are also verifying information that the suspect may have been using illegal dr&gs.
The husband is now in police custody and will face charges of parricide as the case continues to unfold.
Quezon City police have arrested a woman linked to the December 10 kidnapping of a 19-month-old girl named Kiana Jane. While the main suspect is now in custody, the missing toddler has yet to be located, intensifying the anguish of her parents as authorities widen their search efforts across Novaliches. Investigators said the suspect allegedly gained the parents’ trust outside a store, offering to treat them to a meal before vanishing with the child under the pretext of running a quick errand. The girl’s father, Melvin Lorejas, has made an emotional plea to the public, urging anyone with information or possible sightings of his daughter to immediately contact the police or their family.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a 28-year-old factory worker in Barangay Sipac-Almacen, Navotas, suffered severe injuries after her left arm became trapped in an industrial dough-rolling machine. She was stuck in the heavy equipment for almost an hour as nearby residents desperately attempted to pry the rollers apart using improvised tools. Responders from the Navotas Fire Station’s specialized rescue team eventually arrived and deployed hydraulic extrication equipment, freeing her arm in about five minutes. The woman was rushed to a hospital after losing consciousness, and her family later revealed that she is now coping with significant psychological distress in addition to swelling and other physical injuries.
