The incident, which took place inside a local inn, has rattled the community due to the cold premeditation involved.

According to the Roxas City Police, the 23-year-old suspect admitted to devising a sinister plan: he created a "dummy account" on social media to pose as a legitimate customer looking to book a massage service.

Unaware that the "client" was actually her estranged boyfriend of three years, the victim agreed to the appointment.

CCTV footage secured by investigators paints a grim timeline of the night’s events. The suspect checked into the establishment at 10:15 PM and entered the room six minutes later.

At 10:33 PM, the unsuspecting victim arrived. The cameras captured the suspect leaving the room alone at 10:56 PM—just 23 minutes after the young woman entered.

She was later discovered unconscious inside the room’s bathroom. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, she was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police Lt. Col. Ricardo Jomuad, Jr., chief of the Roxas City Police, stated that the motive appears to be rooted in deep-seated jealousy and an inability to move on.

"He could not accept that their three-year relationship was over," authorities noted. This tragic outcome was foreshadowed by the victim herself, who had reportedly confided in her manager earlier that she felt a threat to her life.

The pursuit of the suspect was swift. With assistance from the Aviation Security Group, local police apprehended the man, who confessed to the crime.

However, the drama did not end with the arrest. The suspect is currently under strict observation at a hospital after ingesting poison in an apparent attempt to take his own life following the murder.

Furthermore, forensic teams are analyzing a mysterious "black powder" found at the crime scene to determine if the victim was also poisoned before being strangled.

As the investigation deepens, the victim’s family is left to grieve a life cut short by obsession. They have expressed their firm resolve to file charges and seek full justice for their daughter, whose trust was exploited in the most fatal way possible.

In other news, a scandal has rocked the police force as five officers were relieved from their posts following accusations that they raided a private residence and absconded with a staggering P14 million in cash. Surveillance footage from Barangay Santa Cruz captured the group breaching the property, though the video feed failed to record the entirety of the alleged looting inside. According to a witness report, the operation was violent; the suspects allegedly held the terrified resident at gunpoint before forcibly locking them inside a bathroom to carry out the theft. Investigators are currently building a case against the involved personnel—who are assigned to units in Angeles City and Zambales—though the accused officers have yet to issue any public defense.

Meanwhile in news in the Visayas, a local farmer in Ibajay, Aklan, faced a traumatic morning after finding his carabao dead, having been brutally tied up and hanged from a tree branch. Law enforcement officials confirmed this was not a random act, citing a string of identical livestock hangings in the neighboring barangays of Ondoy, Tagbaya, and Aquino recently. The animal’s owner, Adel Secciona, openly shared his anguish, recounting how he broke down in tears while caressing the lifeless body of the animal he considered his partner in livelihood. Believing an organized group is executing these attacks, the Ibajay Municipal Police have advised all farmers to keep their livestock tethered close to their homes to ensure their safety.
