A earlier report from KAMI detailed the shocking murder of a family of three who were gunned down inside their own store in Barangay Mallorca, San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija. CCTV footage showed three assailants entering the establishment, pulling down the roll-up door, and fatally shooting the victims. Before escaping, one of the attackers was seen taking a bag and a mobile phone belonging to the family. According to Gary De Leon of TV5’s Frontline Pilipinas, the victims had begun receiving threats after lending ₱1 million to a fellow resident, who allegedly used the money to start a business.
Meanwhile, another local story that gained widespread attention involved a 51-year-old public school teacher in Las Piñas City who was repeatedly stabbed by her husband. As reported by EJ Gomez on Unang Balita, the 38-year-old suspect committed the attack inside the school’s faculty room. Investigators noted that although the school had a security guard, the suspect—who was well-known on campus—was able to enter and leave without any difficulty. The husband claimed he went there to discuss and resolve a disagreement with his wife, but the conversation escalated into a violent confrontation.
