NBI arrests man who forced women to send lewd content; suspect allegedly victimized own daughter

A man was arrested by the National Bureau of Investigation Human Tr@fficking Division for allegedly threatening women into sending lewd photos and videos.

Based on the NBI’s findings, one of the seven individuals believed to be victimized by the suspect is a member of his own family.
During the operation, authorities discovered that the man had been coercing his young female relative to provide explicit images and videos.
“Naaktuhan natin yung aktual na pananakot doon sa subject,” says Rosalie Laguardia, chief of the NBI Human Tr@fficking Division.

She explains that the suspect instructed the victim to perform inappropriate acts.
“Otherwise, i-upload daw niya ang mga previous s3x video sa isang online platform.”
According to Laguardia, the suspect employed gro0ming techniques to exploit the victim.
“Ang gro0ming ay isang predatory act kung saan nag-e-establish ng relationship ang suspek sa victim,” she says.
Investigators learned that once the suspect gained the girl’s trust and obtained explicit material, he would then share the content with an online p3dophile group.
“Ayon sa investigasyon, may nakuha tayong grupo sa isang online platform—considered as p3dophile group—kung saan miyembro ang subject,” says Laguardia.
She adds that the man denied selling any of the videos.
“Hindi niya inaamin na binebenta niya ang video, pero may indicators tayo.”
The NBI is now identifying all seven potential victims, who are reportedly students.
The agency is working to verify each case to determine the full extent of the suspect’s activities.
Laguardia also issued a strong reminder to parents.
“Sa mga magulang na may anak na babae, kapag may malaking pagbabago sa ugali o kilos, kausapin niyo sila. Maaaring inaabuso na sila online,” she says.
The suspect now faces charges under the Anti-Online S3xual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and the Anti-Child S3xual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM) Act of 2022.
A correctional facility staff member was recently arrested at the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) after allegedly attempting to smuggle illegal dr&gs into the compound. The substance, suspected to be methamphetamine (shabu), had been hidden in an unusual manner—stuffed inside and beneath pieces of pandesal, a popular Filipino bread. After the employee was taken into custody, authorities discovered 33 additional sachets of the same suspected drug from an inmate she frequently visited. In a separate development, a devastating accident in Camalig, Albay claimed the lives of eleven people when a UV Express van collided with a truck. Only two passengers survived the crash. Both vehicles fell into a ravine, leaving rescuers with an exhausting eight-hour retrieval operation to recover the bodies from the submerged wreckage. Initial police findings indicate that the truck was speeding when its brakes failed, triggering the deadly collision with the van. The truck driver and his helper, who were among the survivors, are currently being treated in a hospital.
