A diaper was covering the shark’s face and was suspected to be the cause of its death.

Diver Harvey Yap, who shared a video of the scene online, said he saw the shark as they passed through the area on a boat heading to Sta. Cruz Island.

Strong waves stopped him from retrieving the shark from the water.

Yap believed the diaper blocked the shark and caused the tragic outcome.

He also said it was his first time in 15 years of diving in the area to witness a dead reef shark.

Yap expressed worry about sea pollution, pointing out plastic waste and ropes that harm the coral reef, which serves as a home for reef sharks.

GMA Regional TV One Mindanao is still trying to get a statement from the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources regarding the issue.

A juvenile reef shark is a young reef shark that has not yet reached full size or maturity. It is smaller, less experienced, and still learning how to survive in its environment.

Reef sharks usually live in shallow, warm waters where coral reefs are found. These young sharks depend on healthy reefs for food and protection.

Like adult reef sharks, juveniles play an important role in keeping the balance of marine life, but they are more vulnerable to threats such as pollution, discarded trash, and damage to coral reefs.

Caught by CCTV, three men entered their store, closed the roll-up door, and shot the entire family to death. Before fleeing, one of the suspects even grabbed a bag and a mobile phone from the victim. In a report by Gary De Leon of TV 5's 'Frontline Pilipinas,' the family started getting threats after lending P1-M to one of the residents of their barangay; allegedly using the money for business.

In another viral local report, a 51-year-old public school teacher in Las Piñas City was stabbed multiple times by her own husband. According to the report of EJ Gomez in 'Unang Balita,' the 38-year-old suspect committed the crime inside the school's faculty room. Police authorities said the school has a security guard, but, being a familiar face in the school, the suspect managed to easily get in and out of the school. The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
