According to Police Major Joann Navarro, Spokesperson for the Police Regional Office-Northern Mindanao (PRO-10), the victim was reportedly last seen alive on Friday evening in Gingoog City, where he was observed purchasing alcohol.

Police investigators have been able to trace the movement of the vehicle using available surveillance footage. "Based on CCTV, he passed through Claveria, from Claveria heading toward Jasaan.

This route was taken by the said vehicle," Major Navarro confirmed, indicating that the victim traveled a significant distance before his untimely death.

Inside the vehicle, police found a bottle of alcohol, but several of the victim’s personal belongings were conspicuously missing.

The police confirmed that the victim’s cellphone, bag, and money were nowhere to be found, leading investigators to strongly consider robbery as the primary motive behind the murder.

Authorities are currently operating under the belief that the victim may have been killed at a different location and his vehicle was merely abandoned in Jasaan.

The combination of lethal stab wounds and the disappearance of valuables points toward a violent attack carried out by the suspect—or suspects—who then drove the car to its final resting place.
