Authorities, however, could not immediately confirm if the vehicle was still functional after being submerged in floodwaters.

Heavy rainfall brought by localized thunderstorms caused sudden flooding in several parts of Barangay Magdum.

The downpour led to the temporary swelling of waterways and minor disruptions in traffic flow. Fortunately, the floodwaters gradually receded after the rain stopped.

Local officials confirmed that no residents were forced to evacuate, and no casualties were reported.

They also reminded the public to avoid crossing flooded roads or rivers, even if the water appears shallow, to prevent accidents and loss of property.

While the rider was fortunate to have survived, the incident served as a reminder of the dangers of underestimating floodwaters — where a few inches of strong current can already sweep away vehicles and endanger lives.
