A horse pulling a carriage collapsed after being sideswiped by a motorcycle-riding traffic enforcer during a race in Angeles City, Pampanga.
According to GMA Regional TV’s report on Unang Balita Wednesday, the traffic officer also fell from his motorcycle and was pinned underneath it after the collision.
Spectators rushed to help the officer and ensured he was safe.
Based on a statement from the Angeles City Information Office, no one suffered serious injuries from the incident.
The carriage driver and the traffic enforcer have since reached an agreement.
The horse race was part of the city’s annual Fiestang Kuliat celebration.

However, the Animal Kingdom Foundation expressed concern, saying that events like this should no longer be encouraged because they could harm animals.
The group added that racing horses in such public celebrations often exposes them to danger and exhaustion.
Authorities are still seeking comments from the event organizers and the local government regarding the matter.
The incident quickly spread online, drawing mixed reactions from netizens.
Some expressed relief that no one was seriously hurt, while others called for stricter regulations to prevent similar accidents in future cultural events.
Despite the settlement between the involved parties, animal rights advocates continue to remind the public to treat animals with care and avoid using them in activities that may cause harm or distress.
