Ipinahayag ni Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon ang kanyang matinding pagkadismaya sa laki ng problemang kinahaharap ng ahensya kaugnay ng imbestigasyon sa maanomalyang flood control projects.

“Habang tumatagal akong nakaupo rito sa DPWH, araw-araw na lang eh may bagong nadidiskubre. Lumalaki nang lumalaki ang nakikita nating problema,” saad ni Dizon sa isang press conference nitong Miyerkules, Setyembre 24.

Emosyonal na ibinahagi ng kalihim na hindi pa lubos ang lawak ng katiwaliang lumalabas.

“I’m emotional here because the gravity of the problem is unthinkable. Talagang grabe. At andito pa lang tayo sa pananagot, part 1 pa lang,” dagdag pa niya.

Ang iskandalo ay lalo pang nagpapataas ng pangamba sa maling paggamit ng pondo para sa imprastruktura at nagtutulak sa panawagan ng reporma para sa mas malinaw at tapat na pamamahala sa mga proyekto ng DPWH.

In other news, contractors Pacifico “Curlee” and Sarah Discaya went to the DOJ to seek inclusion in the Witness Protection Program (WPP).
