On Saturday, September 21, Ogie shared a post urging rally participants to focus on uniting against corruption rather than calling for the President’s removal.
He wrote: “Wag n’yo nang hilinging patalsikin ang Pangulo bukas sa rally. Hilingin na lamang na samahan niya tayo sa pakikipaglaban sa korapsyon. Di ba mas maganda yon?”

About 20 hours later, Ogie followed up with another post after his statement drew mixed interpretations online. He expressed appreciation for those who understood his intent while also acknowledging that some people took his words literally.
“Nag-viral pala yung pakiusap ko. Nakakatuwa yung nakakaintindi. Matatalino sila, dahil gets nila what I really mean. Ni-literal nung iba, eh. Can’t blame you. No worries,” Ogie said, emphasizing that his main goal was to encourage unity in the fight against corruption.

His posts come as nationwide rallies demanding government accountability continue to gain momentum, reflecting a growing public focus on transparency and anti-corruption efforts.
It is worth noting that in Metro Manila, two major gatherings were planned. The first took place at Luneta, serving as the initial assembly point for protesters. Later, a larger demonstration was staged at the People Power Monument in Quezon City. This event, which organizers had dubbed the “main event,” was called the Trillion Peso March.
