Korina shared her grief through a heartfelt tribute posted online. Alongside a portrait of Judy, she wrote a short but emotional message that reflected her love and respect for her late mother-in-law.

“I love you, Iya. Thank you for everything,” the veteran broadcast journalist emotionally wrote.

“Words will never be enough. Farewell for now,” she added.

Korina’s message came almost simultaneously with Mar’s announcement of his mother’s passing. In a brief but emotional statement, Mar confirmed that Judy died peacefully in the presence of her loved ones.

“We are very sad to share that our mother Judy Araneta Roxas passed away peacefully this morning, surrounded by family and loved ones,” he said.

Mar also reached out to the public for prayers as the family mourns.

The couple have twin children named Pepe and Pilar.
