A second motorcycle, reportedly traveling at high speed, crashed into the accident site. The second rider plowed directly into the rescue personnel and the victims, adding to the chaos and causing further injuries.

The crash left two members of the CDRRMO rescue team and the second rider injured. Kidapawan City Police Station OIC Chief Lieutenant Colonel Dominador Palgan Jr. confirmed that the second rider, who was immediately apprehended, was intoxicated.

"Nalaman ng investigator mismo na lasing itong driver, itong nakabangga sa mga rescuer kasi amoy na amoy nila yung alak sa bunganga ng nakabangga," Palgan stated.

Sadly, the 22-year-old rider from the first accident succumbed to his injuries while being treated at the hospital. His female companion is currently recovering from her injuries.
