The Land Transportation Office (LTO) suspended for 90 days the driver’s license of a Transportation Network Vehicle Service (TNVS) driver who not only argued with passengers but also allegedly threatened them with a knife in Manila.
A show-cause order was also issued against inDrive.
According to the female passenger, she and her boyfriend booked a ride using a ride-hailing app.
As they neared the drop-off point in Manila, the driver made a wrong turn and insisted on dropping them far from their pinned location.

“Sabi ko, bakit 'di niya alam e 'yun ang mismong naka-pin sa app. Dapat du'n niya ako dinala,” the passenger said.
The driver argued, “'Di naman daw siya taga-roon, paano raw niya malalaman.”
When the passenger asked why he accepted the booking, the driver shouted, calling her “gunggong.”
The argument continued until the driver said, “Para kayong ano…” to which the male passenger replied, “Ano? Parang ano?”
The driver then said, “O, anong problema mo, brad? May problema ba?”
The couple got off in Binondo but saw the driver pull out a knife after returning to his car.
“Kinuha pa niya 'yung pera ko tapos bumalik… inambahan kami… may dalang pangsaksak,” said the passenger.
The couple reported it to the police. Secretary Vince Dizon said, “Nu'ng nakita namin 'yung video ng TNVS driver, immediately, ipinasuspinde natin.”
inDrive also banned the driver and faces investigation from the LTFRB.
